More Info:

Jimmy Lee has been a constant fixture in the Philadelphia and New Jersey area. With a long history of stirring performances, Lee continues to attract new fans everywhere he goes. Jimmy's musical career began with a local group named The New Side of Town in Camden, NJ. Not long after that he joined The Ebony, another local band, while he was still in high school. A few years later Lee was recruited to join Blue Magic's superstar band, "THE MAGIC OF THE BLUE." His first show with Blue Magic was at Madison Square Garden and he also performed with them at the world-renown Apollo Theater. From there they toured the world. The band became so popular, they signed their own recording contract with Atlantic Records and the name of the group became Fat Larry's Band. Fat Larry's Band scored hits with "Act Like You Know" and "Zoom" and performed live virtually everywhere during the late 1970s and early 1980s, becoming a sensation in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Since then, he has been fortunate enough to tour the world with music industry heavyweights like Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan & Rufus, The Jacksons, Natalie Cole and Brothers Johnson. Lee has also appeared on several television and radio shows. On May 17, 2016, Jimmy was inducted into The Legends of Vinyl Hall of Fame - R&B Artist category. He is currently touring with Blue Magic as a singer (second tenor) in the group's front line, while continuing to perform as a solo artist. Jimmy is currently signed to SOCIETY HILL RECORDS and released a critically acclaimed full-length album with production by label head Butch Ingram. Here Jimmy Lee takes on Disco's most soulful vocal group who formed in Philadelphia in the 1960s, The Trammps, and their 1975 hit "Hold Back The Night, " updating the timeless track featuring expert backing from the first family of Philly Soul, The Ingram Brothers Band. Culled from his critically acclaimed album "Lovely Day, " the track is presented here featuring a previously unreleased instrumental take as an added bonus.
