The music keeps flowing out of the Attic Studio, and we’re blessed once again with a fresh new 45 from “Marcus I meets aDUBta.” The latest release in their 7-inch series is "Mr. Money Man", a powerful blend of Nyabinghi spirit and Rocksteady swing—anchored by a deep one-drop groove. With its full auxiliary percussion stylings and the fun off-shoot lyrics from singer Marcus I, this single is a unique addition to their discography. The single further showcases the authentic, high-quality craftsmanship of producer and drummer aDUBta, who hails from Bavaria, Germany. Known for his analog production style and hands-on approach, aDUBta played and recorded all instruments himself. "Mr. Money Man" was written during a series of sessions last year, as part of the duo’s ongoing effort to channel the timeless vibes of 1960s Studio One. The B-side, simply titled "Version", delivers a heavy dub cut mixed live by aDUBta on his trusty Tascam 388. Expect space echo trails, feedback swells, and percussive drops galore—classic ingredients with their own twist. A serious sound system piece and a must-have for selectors and collectors alike.
