More Info:

Asia eponymously titled debut album in 1982 was both ecstatically received and the biggest selling album of the year. It spawned a trio of US top 10 singles in "Heat of the Moment", "Only Time Will Tell" and "Sole Survivor." Over the greater part of the 80s, Asia racked up 15 million in global record sales. Rising from the ashes, the Multi- Platinum Supergroup Asia returns with PHOENIX, the first new album featuring the original line up in 25 years. With a revered musical pedigree, Geoff Downes (Yes, the Buggles), Steve Howe (Yes), Carl Palmer (ELP), and John Wetton (King Crimson) have returned to their hit making roots. Featuring the anthemic lead track "Never Again", and the poignant "An Extraordinary Life," Asia's revived the sound that made them radio staples.

Reviews:

''Phoenix'' is a studio album from the progressive rock band Asia, the first to feature all four original members (John Wetton, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe and Carl Palmer) since 1983's ''Alpha''. The band played songs from the album on their 2008 world tour and are continuing to play some of the new tracks on their current tour with Yes. The album was released in Europe on April 11, 2008, by Frontiers Records and in North America on April 15 via EMI. It was released in Japan on April 23 via King Records.

The ''Phoenix'' album cover features a Roger Dean illustration of a phoenix in front of the Asia logo on a black background.

The album reached number ten in the UK indie chart. The album debuted at number 73 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and number ten on the Billboard Top Internet albums chart. This is the first time since 1985's ''Astra'' that a studio album by Asia charted on the Billboard 200. - Wikipedia
